From the first moments Ann can remember her thoughts,
she wanted to use colors to express herself; to represent what she felt and
saw in her unique way. A native of Austin, Texas she dove into the flavor
that is all Austin. The live music, the laid back lifestyle, the power that
is the state capital and the university culture help influence the basics
colors of her artistic palette.
After fifteen years as a very successful Senior Art Director and
as an internationally published illustrator she threw herself into her paintings.
New colors have been added to Ann’s artistic palette with her travels
to the Caribbean islands, Mexico, and from the dynamic City of New York to
the majestic wilderness of Montana. Her landscape “View
From Below” (inspired by a collection of treks in the wilderness)
exemplifies her perspective on the nature of things by her representation
of the world under water. In the painting “Style
with Age, Portrait of Henry” the influence of the Caribbean
sunshine brings out the inner person of her subject.
Never allowing herself to be limited in her style of expression she
embraced the media of glass. Her knowledge and skill of color, space and texture
has brought a new dimension in fused
glass reflected in her glass tiles, stain glass and most dear to her,
the art of mosaics.
With the recent completion of her studio there will be more glass work to
be offered on this website very soon.
